Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cold water

  • 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour

  • Newspaper, cut into strips that measure about 1x15 inches

  • Paint (if desired)

Directions

  • Mix water and flour in large bowl with wire whisk until smooth. Mixture should be the same thickness as heavy cream.

  • Coat a mold with one layer of newspaper strips which have been dipped in water.

    • Molded clay or an inflated balloon makes a good mold.

  • Then dip strips in flour mixture and lay over first layer of strips until mold is well coated.

  • Let stand until strips on mold are dry and hard.

  • Paint over the strips if desired.
